Frequently asked questions
- How do I play?
- Drag pieces from the tray onto the board and drop them where they belong. A piece snaps into place when it is close enough to its correct spot. Finish the picture and the next artwork unlocks.
- How does unlocking work?
- Puzzle Glass has ten hand-crafted artworks, unlocked one after another. Complete a puzzle and the next one opens. There is no way to skip ahead — the order is part of the design, and the puzzles grow gently in size from 30 up to 48 pieces.
- Why are some pieces rotated?
- From the third puzzle onward, pieces can arrive turned. Tap a piece to rotate it in 90° steps until it sits the right way up, then drag it into place. The first two puzzles never rotate pieces, so you can learn the board first.
- How do I zoom and pan the board?
- Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out, and drag with two fingers (or drag an empty area of the board) to pan. Zooming in helps a lot on the larger puzzles when pieces get small.
- What is the ghost hint, and how do I turn it on or off?
- The ghost hint overlays a faint image of the finished artwork on the board, so you can see where each piece belongs. Toggle it with the ghost button on the puzzle screen — on when you want a nudge, off when you want the challenge. It is purely visual and does not change your timer or move count.
- What do the timer and move counter do?
- They simply record how long a puzzle took and how many moves you made, so you can try to beat your own solve. Nothing is ranked, shared, or uploaded — there is no leaderboard in Puzzle Glass.
- I closed the app mid-puzzle. Is my puzzle gone?
- No. Puzzle Glass auto-saves the puzzle in progress, along with your unlocked artworks and best times, locally on your device. Reopen the app and carry on where you left off.
- How do I remove all my progress?
- All progress lives on your device and nowhere else, so deleting the app removes everything: unlocked puzzles, times, moves, and the puzzle in progress. There is no cloud copy, which also means progress cannot be restored after deleting the app or moved to another device.
- Can I remove the ads?
- Ads keep Puzzle Glass free. There is no paid ad-removal option today. If you want one, email us: demand drives the roadmap.
- Why did an ad appear between puzzles?
- Puzzle Glass shows a banner ad and an occasional interstitial between puzzles. If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland you chose your ad personalization preferences in the consent message at first launch, and you can reopen those choices any time from Settings. On iOS, the Ask App Not To Track choice limits ads to non-personalized ones — the game plays exactly the same.
- The app crashed, or a piece will not place
- Please email taoufik.leon.jabbari@gmail.com with your iOS version, your device model, and what you were doing right before it happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
- How is my data used?
- See the Privacy Policy for the full answer. Short version: your puzzles and times live on your device and never leave it, AdMob shows the ads, and Firebase reports anonymized usage and crashes.
- Where can I leave a review?
- If Puzzle Glass gives you a good quiet twenty minutes, an App Store review is the kindest thing you can do. It takes 30 seconds and genuinely helps the game find more players.
