Effective June 5, 2026
Trivio (the "App") is a trivia quiz game published by Taoufik Jabbari ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App collects, how we use it, and your choices.
Quick summary: Trivio keeps your game progress and the quizzes you create on your device. Quizzes you choose to publish to the community are stored on Google Firebase under an anonymous ID and your chosen display name. We use Firebase Analytics for anonymized usage data and Google AdMob to show ads. We do not collect your real name, email, phone, location, or contacts.
1. Information we collect
Trivio collects the minimum information needed to deliver the game's features:
- Game progress (on your device only): your scores, results, settings, and the quizzes you build in the in-app editor. Stored in iOS local storage. This never leaves your device unless you choose to publish a quiz.
- Published community quizzes: when you choose to publish a quiz to the community, Trivio sends an anonymous Firebase user ID, the display name you pick, and the quiz content (questions and answers) to Google Firestore so other players can find and play it. No real name or email is required to publish.
- Usage and performance data: Firebase Analytics records anonymized, aggregated information such as which screens are opened and how the app performs, so we can fix bugs and improve the game.
- Advertising identifiers: Google AdMob may use your device's IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) to show personalized ads, but only if you allow tracking through the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow tracking, AdMob serves only non-personalized ads.
- Crash and diagnostic data: standard iOS and App Store crash reports may be shared with us by Apple, anonymized and aggregated.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not ask for your real name, email address, or phone number.
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, microphone, camera, or location.
- We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
- We do not sell or rent any data to third parties.
3. How third parties use data
Trivio uses two third-party services, both operated by Google:
- Google Firebase (Anonymous Auth, Firestore, Analytics): provides anonymous identities so community quizzes can be published and ranked, stores published quiz content, and reports anonymized usage and performance data. See Firebase's privacy notice.
- Google AdMob: serves banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (IDFA, IP) for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and frequency capping. See Google's policy and AdMob data practices.
4. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
iOS will ask you whether to allow Trivio to track you across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. Your choice is respected:
- Allow: AdMob may serve personalized ads based on your activity in other apps.
- Ask App Not To Track: AdMob will only serve non-personalized (contextual) ads. The full game stays completely playable either way.
You can change this any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.
5. Children's privacy
Trivio is rated for ages 4+ and is suitable for all audiences. No account or personal data is required to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has published a quiz or provided any identifiable information, please email taoufik.leon.jabbari@gmail.com and we will remove it.
6. Data retention and deletion
On-device data, including the quizzes you have built but not published, is removed when you uninstall the App. You can delete your own published community quizzes directly inside the App at any time. For deletion of anything else tied to your anonymous ID, email taoufik.leon.jabbari@gmail.com with the display name shown on your device and we will take care of it.
7. International transfers
Firebase and AdMob are operated by Google LLC (USA). Data sent to those services may be stored or processed in the United States. By using Trivio you consent to such transfer where applicable.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. The "Effective" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected in an updated App Store release.
9. Contact
