Privacy Policy

Forge (the "App") is a screen-time wellness app published by Taoufik Jabbari ("we", "us"). Forge lets you earn unlock time for distracting apps by doing push-ups, squats, or walking steps. This policy explains what data the App handles, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Information the App handles

• On-device settings & activity: the apps you choose to gate, your schedule and effort formulas, your push-up / squat / step counts, and your unlock history. This is stored locally on your device (iOS UserDefaults) and is removed when you uninstall.
• Camera (on-device only): to count reps, Forge uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to read your body pose through the front camera. Camera frames stay in memory, are analyzed on the spot, and are discarded immediately. No video or image is ever recorded, uploaded, or stored, and nothing from the camera leaves your device.
• Motion & Fitness: for Steps mode, Forge reads your step count from the iOS pedometer on your device to credit walked steps. It is not transmitted off the device.
• Screen Time (Family Controls): the apps you choose to gate are managed on your device by Apple's Screen Time framework. Forge never receives, sees, or transmits the list of apps you select.
• Crash and diagnostic data: standard iOS / App Store crash reports may be shared with us by Apple, anonymized and aggregated.

2. Information we do NOT collect

• We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, or photos.
• We do not access your contacts, calendar, microphone, or precise location.
• We do not show ads — no advertising identifiers (IDFA), no App Tracking Transparency prompt, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
• We do not keep a cloud copy of your data, and we do not sell or rent any data to third parties.

3. Purchases

Forge offers a single optional one-time "Pro" purchase, processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles the payment; we never receive your card number or payment details. Your purchase entitlement is restored by Apple across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

4. How third parties are involved

Forge relies on Apple system services only: the App Store / StoreKit (purchases), the Screen Time / Family Controls framework (app gating, on device), and Apple's crash reporting. No data is shared with advertisers, and the App contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

5. Children's privacy

Forge is rated 4+ and suitable for all audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Nothing that identifies you leaves your device. If you believe a child has provided identifiable information, please email taoufik.leon.jabbari@gmail.com and we will address it.

6. Data retention and deletion

All Forge data lives on your device. To remove everything, delete the App — there is no cloud copy to erase. Questions about your data: taoufik.leon.jabbari@gmail.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy. The "Effective" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected in an updated App Store release.
